Speaker

Victor Greto, Associate Professor, Multimedia Communications & History, Wesley College, will present “It’s Not About You, But It’s All Up To You: Keeping Power Accountable Through Journalism and Multimedia Communication in the 21st Century.” Greto will talk about “the responsibilities that go with the decision to become a journalist and the need to practice technically efficient, ethical multimedia communication in 21st-century America.”

He says “It’s not about you or your brand, your social status, likes, shares or hits: It’s about your city, your county, your state, your children, the people you love, and the country and world in which you are a citizen. It’s not about you. But it’s all up to you.” 

Directions

From Pennsylvania Avenue (Route 52) heading north out of Wilmington, turn left on Broom Street or, if driving south from Route 141, turn right on Broom. Landmark: Church of the Holy City at SW corner of Pennsylvania Avenue and Broom Street. In two to three blocks (you will pass Padua School on your right), watch on your right for the stone pillars on either side of the driveway into the University & Whist grounds immediately as you cross Ninth

Parking Information

There is a parking lot at the club (to the left and to the rear of the building), as well as free on-street parking on adjacent streets should the lot be full. For a small fee, valet parking is available at the front door, and there is a handicap access ramp into the club from the parking area at the rear of the building.
