Social Hour: Take time out from the busy holiday season to catch up with DPA colleagues and friends at the Ed Oliver Golf Club on Saturday, November 16. And you are welcome to bring guests. Enjoy the music of Flute Duo Susan Ryan & Gretchen Cox during the social hour with cash bar, beginning at 11:30 a.m.
Book Signing: During the social hour, and following the luncheon, you can take care of some holiday shopping. Kevin Reilly will be on hand to sign copies of his book, Tackling Life: How Faith, Family, Friends, and Fortitude Kept an NFL Linebacker in the Game. You also can shop and visit with DPA authors who will be happy to autograph their latest work. And don’t forget to pick up a bag of DPA 10-Bean Soup, a great stocking stuffer, and still just $5.
Speaker: During the luncheon, former Eagles linebacker Kevin Reilly, will talk about overcoming the challenges of losing an arm, a shoulder, and four ribs to a rare form of cancer at the start of his pro football career. Now a sportscaster, an author, and a motivational speaker, he tours the country helping to change the lives of others who struggle with their own physical and mental challenges. Q & A to follow.
The COA Award: The Communicator of Achievement Award, the highest honor DPA bestows on its members, is given annually for outstanding professional achievement as well as for service to community, to DPA, and to NFPW. The event will conclude when a DPA COA presents our 2020 Communicator of Achievement. Who will it be this year? Attend the DPA Holiday Luncheon to find out.
