DPA Members Capture 55 National Awards

Delaware Press Association members have won 55 awards in the 2020 National Communications Contest hosted by the National Federation of Press Women. Among the DPA national awards, there were 20 first-place wins, 22 for second-place, 5 for third-place, and 8 honorable mentions. DPA members garnered awards in a variety of categories, including, writing, editing, radio and television broadcasting, photography, videos, web and social media presence, advertising, public relations, speech, journalism education, and more.

DPA Members Celebrate 55 National Awards

June 7, 2020 — Delaware Press Association members have won 55 awards in the 2020 National Communications Contest hosted by the National Federation of Press Women. Those who took first-place awards in DPA’s 2020 Communications Contest were eligible to compete in the annual NFPW national competition.

NFPW president Gwen Larson, of Kansas, and the 2020 national contest director, Teri Ehresman, of Wyoming, announced the national awards on Saturday, June 6, in an online presentation and slide show featuring each of the award winners and naming the categories in which they won the awards. Hundreds of award winners from across the U.S. attended the awards presentation via Zoom.

Among the DPA national awards, there were 20 first-place wins, 22 for second-place, 5 for third-place, and 8 honorable mentions. DPA members garnered awards in a variety of categories, including, writing, editing, radio and television broadcasting, photography, videos, web and social media presence, advertising, public relations, speech, journalism education, and more.
